Marrow

Introduction

Marrow compiles declarative network topology YAML into interactive, offline, self-contained HTML network diagrams.

Welcome to the Marrow documentation.

Marrow compiles plain YAML network definitions into single-file, interactive HTML diagrams and standalone vector SVGs. You declare what each device is (tier, zone, ha_pair_with), and the deterministic layout compiler computes coordinates, alignment, and routing automatically.

Key Capabilities

  • Declarative Structure: No manual coordinate positioning or dragging boxes. Declare device roles, tiers, and zones; the engine builds the diagram.
  • 100% Offline Portability: Zero external runtime asset fetches. Standalone HTML files render completely offline from local disk, wikis, or USB sticks.
  • Headless Static SVG Export: Generate self-contained vector SVGs directly from the CLI without launching a headless browser.
  • shadcn Component Registry: Distribute hardware switch faceplates, CLI consoles, cable strips, and addressing tables directly into any React / Next.js project.
